Day 1 Package

Kids sometimes enter foster homes under extraneous circumstances - like in the middle of the night with one or two belongings in a trash bag. Foster families may not even have basic things because of unexpected circumstances.

We create and distribute Day 1 Package that contain basic amenities like toothbrush, pjs and socks so that these kids feel welcomed at their foster place.

We collaborate with local government organizations to prepare and distribute these packages.

Kids from multiple backgrounds do not have a personal computer or a tablet at home to be able to take advantage of the numerous educational resources available online. I personally know how advantageous it is to have computer - I learn math, science and various topics online using resources like Khan Academy and AoPS.

The COVID-19 crisis in Spring 2020 exaggerated this problem even further with schools adopting to do fully virtual schools.

I would like to explore creating Tech Buddy Package for low income, single income and underrepresented groups. Tech Buddy Package will contain a minimum spec chromebook (At least 11 inch) and a mouse that will allow this kids to go online and continue their educational journey.
